The Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G is an ultra-wide zoom lens designed for Sony E-Mount full-frame cameras, offering a focal range from 12 to 24mm with a constant f/4 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range. The lens features sophisticated optical construction with four aspherical elements, one Super ED element, and three ED elements that work together to minimize spherical aberrations, chromatic aberrations, and color fringing while maintaining high sharpness and resolution across the frame. A Direct Drive Super Sonic wave Motor AF system with internal focus mechanism provides fast and quiet autofocus performance suitable for both stills and video work.
The lens incorporates a Nano AR coating to reduce reflections, flare, and ghosting in bright lighting conditions, and its dust- and moisture-sealed design allows for operation in challenging weather.
