Welcome to GearBridge. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase through all websites, applications, and online services operated by GearBridge (collectively, the "Platform"), or otherwise communicate with us. GearBridge is owned and operated by Austin Denny, a sole proprietor registered in the State of Colorado ("GearBridge," "we," "us," or "our"). The Platform is powered by Shopify.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use by reference. If there is a conflict between the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.
By using or accessing any part of the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described herein.
1. Information We Collect
"Personal information" refers to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include anonymized or de-identified information. Depending on how you interact with the Platform, where you live, and as permitted by applicable law, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
Contact details — name, address, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.
Financial information — payment card details, financial account numbers, transaction details, form of payment, and payment confirmation.
Account information — username, password, security questions, preferences, and settings.
Transaction information — items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, and your order history.
Communications — information you include when you contact us, such as customer support inquiries.
Device information — device type, browser, operating system, IP address, network connection details, and other unique identifiers.
Usage information — how and when you interact with or navigate the Platform, pages viewed, links clicked, and referring URLs.
a. Sources of Personal Information
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
Directly from you — when you create an account, visit or use the Platform, make a purchase, communicate with us, or otherwise provide information.
Automatically through the Platform — from your device via cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3 below).
From our service providers — when they collect or process your personal information on our behalf.
From partners or other third parties — such as marketing partners, analytics providers, or social media platforms.
2. How We Use Your Information
We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
a. Provide, Tailor, and Improve the Platform
Process payments, fulfill orders, arrange shipping, facilitate returns and exchanges, manage your account, remember your preferences, send account-related notifications, enable product reviews, and create a personalized shopping experience. This includes using your information to improve the Platform.
b. Marketing and Advertising
Send marketing, advertising, and promotional communications by email, SMS/text message, or postal mail. Show you online advertisements on the Platform or other websites, including based on items you have purchased, added to your cart, or browsed. We may use hashed versions of your email address to match you with advertising audiences on third-party platforms. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time (see Section 9 below).
c. Security and Fraud Prevention
Authenticate your account, provide a secure payment and shopping experience, detect and investigate potentially fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity, and secure the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. We recommend you do not share your username, password, or other access details with anyone.
d. Communicating with You
Provide customer support via email, SMS, or other channels, respond to your inquiries, and maintain our business relationship with you.
e. Legal Reasons
Comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process (including law enforcement or government requests), participate in litigation or civil discovery, and enforce or investigate potential violations of our Terms of Use or policies.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your activity on the Platform. Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit a website.
a. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential/Session Cookies — Required for the Platform to function properly. These enable core features like shopping cart functionality, account authentication, and session management. These cookies are necessary and cannot be disabled.
Marketing and Advertising Cookies — Used to deliver relevant advertisements, track ad campaign performance, and build advertising audiences. These cookies may be set by us or by third-party advertising partners (including Shopify and its partners) and may track your activity across different websites.
Analytics Cookies — Help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform, which pages are most popular, and how users navigate the site, so we can measure and improve performance.
b. Hashed Email Identifiers
We may create a hashed (pseudonymized) version of your email address and share it with advertising platforms to match you with relevant advertising audiences. Hashing converts your email into an irreversible string of characters, meaning the advertising platform cannot reverse-engineer your email address from the hash.
c. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being set. However, disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the Platform.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your personal information with third parties in the following circumstances:
a. Service Providers
Shopify, vendors, and other third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment, and shipping.
b. Business and Marketing Partners
To provide marketing services and deliver advertisements to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity. Our partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices.
c. At Your Direction
When you direct, request, or otherwise consent to our disclosure, such as when we ship products to you or when you use social media widgets or login integrations.
d. Business Transactions and Legal Compliance
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; to comply with applicable legal obligations (including subpoenas, search warrants, and similar requests); to enforce our Terms of Use or policies; and to protect the Platform, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.
5. Shopify
The Platform is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Platform. Information you submit may be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and third parties located in countries other than where you reside. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information and responding to rights requests related to those purposes. To learn more, visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You may exercise rights related to Shopify's processing via the Shopify Privacy Portal.
6. Third-Party Links
The Platform may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, services, or practices. You access third-party sites at your own risk. We recommend you review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
7. Children
The Platform is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to request its deletion. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
8. Security and Retention
No security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive information.
How long we retain your personal information depends on factors such as whether we need it to maintain your account, provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements and policies.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. These rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and we may decline requests as permitted by law.
a. Right to Access / Know

b. Right to Delete
Request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
c. Right to Correct
Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
d. Right of Portability
Receive a copy of your personal information and request transfer to a third party, in certain circumstances.
e. Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing for Targeted Advertising
Depending on where you reside, you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information or opt out of processing for "targeted advertising" as defined by applicable privacy laws. If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will treat this as an opt-out request for the device and browser you use, and if we can associate the signal with a Shopify account, we will apply the opt-out to the account as well. We do not recognize other "Do Not Track" signals.
f. Managing Communication Preferences
You may opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in our emails. You may opt out of SMS/text messages by replying STOP to any message. If you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as those about your account or orders.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13 or where indicated on the Platform. To learn more about rights related to data processed by Shopify, visit https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf; we will require proof of authorization and may need to verify your identity directly. We will respond in a timely manner as required by applicable law.
10. International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country you live in. If we transfer your personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or any equivalent contracts issued by the relevant UK authority, unless the transfer is to a country that has been determined to provide an adequate level of protection.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
12. Complaints
If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 13. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
