The lens features an f/1.8 maximum aperture combined with ZEISS's Sonnar optical design and three anomalous partial dispersion elements to deliver exceptional sharpness, contrast, and color accuracy while minimizing chromatic aberrations and flare. Integrated optical image stabilization helps reduce camera shake during handheld shooting, while the autofocus system uses linear motors to provide smooth, fast, and quiet focusing performance suitable for both stills and video.
