About the Canon EF 2x Extender II (Teleconverter)

The Canon EF 2x II Extender is a teleconverter that doubles the focal length of compatible EF lenses while maintaining image quality through improved antireflective internal coatings. When mounted on a lens, it multiplies the focal length by 2x while reducing the effective aperture by two f-stops; for example, a 300mm f/2.8 lens becomes a 600mm f/5.6 lens. The extender features seven lens elements in five groups, weathersealed construction with rubber gasket seals for durability, and weighs 9.3 ounces.

This teleconverter works only with a select list of compatible EF lenses and is best used with telephoto optics of 50mm or longer. Autofocus functionality is supported with any EOS body when the attached lens has an f/2.8 or faster maximum aperture, and image stabilization is maintained on compatible IS lenses with current EOS cameras. This is a refurbished unit that includes a 90-day B&H refurbished warranty.

Good Experience

I'm 75 years old, so using this site and similar sites isn't terribly intuitive for me. But they got back to me in a timely fashion with every question I had. Once they received my equipment, they upgraded a couple of lenses and a camera body from "Excellent" to "Like New," which is what I thought might be the case, but since they weren't actually new, I did not want to claim. I got a notice when they received my package (for which they had sent me a prepaid label), and I got a notice when funds had been transferred to my bank account. If you are a younger person than I, you may want to select gear credit rather than payment. My conclusion is that these are folks that you can do business with, and it beats trying to unload stuff on PoshMark or other platforms!
