The lens features a bright f/2 maximum aperture that facilitates shooting in low-light conditions while providing excellent depth-of-field control. Optical performance is enhanced through two aspherical elements that minimize distortion and spherical aberration, along with a Super EBC coating that reduces flare and ghosting to ensure high contrast and accurate color reproduction.
The lens incorporates a stepping motor and internal focusing mechanism that delivers fast and quiet autofocus operation suitable for both stills and video.
