About the Atomos Ninja Flame 4K
The Atomos Ninja Flame is a 7-inch, 1920 x 1200 on-camera recording monitor that combines 4K HDMI input with integrated recording capability to 2.5-inch SSDs using 10-bit, 4:2:2 Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHR codecs. The monitor features a 10-bit FRC panel with AtomHDR display technology that natively displays HDR log footage across a 10-stop dynamic range, with built-in presets for log gamma curves from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED, and JVC cameras. A High Bright mode delivers up to 1500 cd/m² brightness for confident Rec. 709 monitoring in outdoor environments, while the monitor supports UHD 4K recording up to 30 fps and 1080p recording up to 120 fps.
The Ninja Flame includes dual Sony L-Series battery slots that support hot-swapping for extended runtime, built-in protective armor with silicone-covered corners, and a 3.5mm microphone input with on-screen audio level metering. The kit comes with a Master Caddy II 2.5-inch drive enclosure, AC adapter power supply, and a travel case for protection during transport and storage.
