The AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR is a telephoto zoom lens designed for Nikon DX-format DSLRs, providing an 82.5-450mm equivalent focal length range. The lens features two extra-low dispersion elements and one high refractive index element that work together to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations, delivering sharp and accurate imagery. A Super Integrated Coating reduces flare and ghosting to maintain contrast and color accuracy in bright lighting conditions.
VR II image stabilization compensates for up to three stops of camera shake, enabling sharper handheld photography in challenging lighting. The Silent Wave Motor provides fast and nearly silent autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override capability. The rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces pleasing out-of-focus rendering for shallow depth of field techniques.
