The camera features a 36.3-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor without an optical low pass filter for superior sharpness and detail, paired with the EXPEED 4 image processor that delivers 30 percent faster performance and improved low-noise imaging across its ISO range from 200 to 12800.
The D810A includes a dedicated M* long exposure manual mode with preset times up to 15 minutes and a Virtual Live View Exposure Preview function to aid in critical focusing during extended exposures. Additional capabilities include continuous shooting at 5 fps in FX format, full HD 1080p video recording at 24, 30, and 60 fps, a 3.2-inch LCD monitor with 1,229,000-dot resolution, and dual memory card slots supporting both CompactFlash and SD cards.
