The Nikon Z8 is a compact, lightweight mirrorless camera that houses flagship technology in a more portable body design that is 30% smaller than the Z9. It features a 45.7MP full-frame stacked CMOS sensor paired with the EXPEED 7 processing engine, enabling continuous shooting at up to 20 fps in raw or 30 fps in JPEG with full autofocus and exposure performance. The camera employs a 493-point phase-detection autofocus system that operates at 120 fps with advanced subject detection capabilities, making it suitable for fast-action and hybrid photo/video work.
The Z8 is an exceptional video camera capable of recording 8K video at up to 60 fps in N-RAW format, 4.1K at 120 fps, and standard UHD 8K at 30 fps, with support for 10-bit color and multiple codecs including ProRes RAW, H.265, and H.264. Built with magnesium alloy and carbon fiber construction, it weighs just 1.8 lb and incorporates weather sealing, in-body vibration reduction with sync VR support, a 3.2-inch four-axis tilting touchscreen LCD, and dual memory card slots for flexible file management. Connectivity options include USB-C, HDMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and optional USB-LAN support via ethernet adapter.
