The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 25mm f/1.2 PRO is a standard prime lens designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, offering a 50mm equivalent focal length with a bright f/1.2 maximum aperture for low-light performance and precise depth-of-field control. The lens incorporates a sophisticated optical design with 19 elements in 14 groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements, four high refractive index elements, and one aspherical element, which work together to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations while maintaining excellent sharpness and color accuracy. Z Coating Nano has been applied to individual elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent flare and ghosting in strong lighting conditions.
The lens features a Movie and Still Compatible autofocus system with internal focusing and a manual focus clutch for precise control in both photography and video work. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth bokeh quality when using shallow depth of field, while the weather-sealed construction protects against dust, moisture, and freezing temperatures for reliable operation in demanding environments. Additional features include a programmable L-Fn button for quick settings adjustment and a printed depth-of-field scale on the barrel for pre-focusing techniques.
