The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens is a wide-angle zoom designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, offering a versatile focal range with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture suitable for low-light photography and creative depth-of-field control. The lens features an advanced optical design incorporating five Special Low Dispersion elements, one F Low Dispersion element, and three aspherical elements that work together to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations while delivering exceptional sharpness and color accuracy across the zoom range. A Super Multi-Layer Coating combined with a Nano Porous Coating significantly reduces lens flare and ghosting for superior contrast and color-neutral imagery in diverse lighting conditions.
The lens incorporates a fast and near-silent stepping autofocus motor with full-time manual focus override, making it equally effective for both photography and videography applications. An 11-blade rounded diaphragm creates smooth, pleasing bokeh, while weather-resistant construction with a brass bayonet ensures durability and precise mounting. Additional features include a built-in lens hood, an assignable Autofocus-Lock button, a water- and oil-repellent front element coating, and a rear gel filter holder with a fall-prevention lock.
