The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon F is a wide-angle zoom designed for FX-format cameras that maintains a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout its focal range. The optical design incorporates three Special Low Dispersion elements, three F Low Dispersion elements, and three aspherical elements to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations while delivering sharp, clear imagery with accurate color rendering. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces lens flare and ghosting, and the integrated Hyper Sonic Motor enables fast, quiet autofocus with full-time manual override capability.
The lens is constructed from thermally stable composite material with a brass bayonet mount for precision and durability across varying temperature conditions. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth bokeh quality, and the front element features a water- and oil-repellent coating for protection in harsh environments. The built-in lens hood shields the front element while minimizing stray light interference.
