The f/1.4 maximum aperture enables strong performance in low-light conditions and provides extensive control over depth of field for selective focus techniques. The optical design incorporates two aspherical elements and one high-refractive index element to minimize distortion and spherical aberrations, while a Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy.
