The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 is a compact Super35 cinema camera that records in 6K at up to 60 fps with a 6144 x 3456 resolution, leveraging a 13-stop dynamic range sensor and dual native ISO of 400/3200. The camera features Gen 5 color science, a 5-inch tilting HDR touchscreen LCD, dual mini-XLR audio inputs with phantom power, and an active Canon EF lens mount with electronic communication support. Recording options include Blackmagic RAW and ProRes 422 to CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots, with additional output via USB Type-C to external SSDs and HDMI for live streaming.
This model omits the internal ND filters found on the 6K Pro to provide a more affordable alternative while retaining professional features such as Bluetooth remote control up to 30 feet away, vertical aspect ratio capture for social media, and a DaVinci Resolve Studio license. The camera accepts NP-F570 L-series batteries and weighs 3.71 pounds, making it suitable for handheld, gimbal, or stationary shooting setups.
