About the Sirui 35mm f/1.8 1.33x Anamorphic Lens
The Sirui 35mm f/1.8 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens is a Micro Four Thirds-mount prime lens designed for compact MFT and APS-C cameras, featuring a 1.33x horizontal squeeze that expands the field of view by 33% compared to standard 35mm lenses. Constructed with Schott optical glass elements finished with multilayer nano coatings and housed in a durable aluminum body, the lens incorporates 13 optical elements arranged in 9 groups and delivers de-squeezed images in a 2.4:1 anamorphic format when captured in 16:9 resolution.
The lens produces the signature anamorphic characteristics of oval bokeh, horizontal lens flares, and distinctive blue horizontal streaks created by its 10-blade iris at f/1.8 maximum aperture. With a 191-degree focus rotation, 67mm filter thread, and minimum focus distance of 2.8 feet, this lightweight 700-gram lens includes focus scales marked in both metric and imperial units, making it suitable for 4K image capture and professional anamorphic cinematography.
