The Sony FE 100mm f/2.8 Macro GM Lens is a full-frame macro prime that delivers greater-than-life-size 1.4x magnification with a minimum focus distance of 10.2 inches and an exceptional working distance of 3.5 inches. The lens features advanced optical design with 17 elements in 13 groups, including two extreme aspherical and two extra-low dispersion glass elements, along with Nano AR Coating II to minimize aberrations and internal reflections. Four XD linear autofocus motors enable fast, precise focusing with speeds up to 1.9x faster than Sony's previous FE 90mm macro model, while internal focusing and floating focus design keep the lens length compact throughout the focus range.

Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization has been optimized specifically for close-up macro work and integrates with camera body stabilization for maximum effectiveness. The lens includes an 11-blade circular aperture for smooth bokeh, manual focus ring with printed distance and magnification scales, focus range limiter switch, de-click switch for silent aperture adjustments during video, and physically sealed construction with fluorine coating for dust and moisture resistance. The lens is compatible with Sony's 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, which enable magnification up to 2.8x when used with the 2x converter.
