The Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA is a compact wide-angle prime lens designed for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras that delivers professional optical performance in a highly portable package measuring just 1.44 inches long and weighing 4.23 ounces. The lens features ZEISS optics with seven elements in five groups, including three double-sided aspherical elements and T* anti-reflective coatings on each surface to minimize aberrations and maximize image clarity and contrast.
A linear autofocus motor with internal focus design enables quick and silent autofocus operation suitable for both still photography and video recording, while the dust- and moisture-sealed construction permits reliable performance in challenging environmental conditions. The seven-blade rounded diaphragm produces pleasing bokeh quality for selective focus work, and the included compact cap-style lens hood with its own 40.5mm filter thread helps prevent flare in addition to the lens's native 49mm filter thread.
