FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA Zeiss Planar T*

The Sony Planar T* FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA Lens is a fast, standard prime lens designed for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras. Built on ZEISS Planar optical design, the lens features 12 elements in 9 groups including one advanced aspherical element, one aspherical element, and one extra-low dispersion element that work together to minimize aberrations and deliver sharp, color-accurate images. The f/1.4 maximum aperture provides excellent low-light performance and enables strong depth-of-field control for creative photography.

The lens incorporates a ring drive Super Sonic wave autofocus motor for quick and quiet focusing, complemented by an intuitive manual focus ring and a de-clickable physical aperture ring suitable for both still and video work. ZEISS T* anti-reflective coatings on all lens surfaces enhance contrast and color fidelity, while the rounded 11-blade diaphragm produces smooth bokeh. Dust and moisture sealing makes this lens suitable for use in challenging weather conditions, and it covers a normal 47-degree angle of view with a minimum focus distance of 1.48 feet.
