BG-E6 Battery Grip

The Canon BG-E6 is a battery grip designed specifically for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR. It accommodates either one or two LP-E6 battery packs, effectively doubling battery life when both packs are installed, which is particularly beneficial during extended movie mode or Live View shooting. The grip also features compatibility with the included BGM-E6 battery magazine, allowing operation with six AA batteries as an alternative power source.

The BG-E6 provides full vertical shooting controls that can be independently activated or deactivated to improve handling and ergonomics when capturing vertical compositions. The grip weighs 11.1 ounces and is not compatible with the earlier EOS 5D model.
