BG-E7 Battery Grip

The Canon Battery Grip BG-E7 is an optional battery grip designed specifically for the Canon EOS 7D that significantly extends shooting time. It accommodates either one or two LP-E6 battery packs, and with two packs installed, the battery life is doubled compared to using a single battery in-camera. This extended power capacity is particularly valuable when using the camera's movie mode or Live View mode, both of which consume power more quickly than standard shooting.

The BG-E7 provides a convenient alternative power option through an included battery magazine that accepts six AA batteries. The grip features full vertical shooting controls, including a dedicated shutter release button and control buttons with a dial positioned for vertical orientation, allowing photographers to shoot in portrait mode with the same level of comfort and control available in landscape orientation.
