The Canon EOS C100 Cinema Camera is a compact professional video camera featuring a Super 35mm 8.3MP CMOS sensor optimized for run-and-gun and one-man-band style shooting. The camera offers full EF lens mount compatibility, uncompressed HDMI output with timecode overlay, and dual SDHC/SDXC card slots for simultaneous HD and SD recording or dual backup. It provides extensive manual control with ISO sensitivity ranging from 320 to 80,000, built-in neutral density filters with four configurations, and professional audio inputs via two XLR connectors.

The C100 supports both Canon Log gamma and Wide DR recording modes to preserve dynamic range for color grading, while its CMOS sensor design reduces rolling shutter distortion. The camera includes focusing aids such as peaking modes, magnify focus, and an edge monitor display, along with One-Shot AF and Push Auto Iris functions for flexible operation.
