The Viltrox AF 16mm f/1.8 is an ultrawide prime lens designed for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras, offering a 105.6-degree angle of view with a fast f/1.8 maximum aperture. The optical design incorporates four ED elements and three aspherical elements to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness while minimizing coma flare and ghosting, making it particularly well-suited for astrophotography and night sky imaging. The lens features an all-metal body with a brass bayonet mount, dust and water resistance, a switchable stepless aperture ring for smooth video transitions, and an onboard LCD screen that displays focus distance and aperture information.

Autofocus operation is handled by a fast STM motor with a dedicated AF/MF switch for quick mode changes, while custom function buttons enable rapid access to frequently used settings with compatible Sony cameras.
