The Canon Cinema EOS C300 Mark II is a professional cinema camera featuring a Super 35mm CMOS sensor with 4096 x 2160 Cine 4K resolution, delivering high-quality cinema imagery with a 24.4 x 13.5mm active image size. The camera is equipped with Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus technology, which provides fast and accurate continuous autofocus performance ideal for small crew operation, along with Canon Log 3 gamma support that offers 14 stops of dynamic range for flexible color grading in post-production. The EF lens mount accommodates both Canon's extensive range of DSLR lenses and Canon's dedicated EF-mount CN-E cinema prime and zoom lenses, while dual DIGIC DV 5 image processors handle advanced color science without requiring three separate sensor chips.

The camera records up to 4K DCI resolution to CFast 2.0 cards using the XF AVC H.264 codec wrapped in the MXF container, ensuring files suitable for professional postproduction workflows.
