The Canon EOS-1D X is a professional full-frame DSLR camera featuring an 18.1-megapixel CMOS sensor with a native ISO range of 100 to 51,200, expandable to 204,800 for low-light performance. The camera is equipped with dual DIGIC 5+ image processors that enable burst shooting at 12 frames per second in RAW+JPEG mode or 14 frames per second in JPEG, along with advanced autofocus via a 61-point high-density system with intelligent subject tracking capabilities.

Built for professional use, the body is constructed from magnesium alloy with extensive dust and weather sealing, dual CompactFlash card slots for redundancy, and a shutter mechanism rated for 400,000 cycles at full 14 fps performance.
