The Canon EOS R50 is a compact mirrorless camera featuring a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC X image processor for high-resolution stills and videos. The camera captures UHD 4K video at 30p and Full HD at up to 120p, with support for continuous recording up to one hour, making it well-suited for content creators and vloggers. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system provides fast autofocus across 651 zones with intelligent subject detection for people, animals, and vehicles.

The R50 includes a 2.36-megadot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD that articulates for shooting from various angles. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, and micro-HDMI, along with UVC/UAC compatibility for use as a web camera.
