About the Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT

The Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT (Ver. 3) is a wireless radio-controlled transmitter that mounts on a camera's hot shoe to control compatible Canon Speedlite flash units remotely. This transmitter can manage up to five groups or fifteen individual flashes at distances up to 98.4 feet, enabling complex multi-flash lighting setups with precise control. It supports multiple flash modes including E-TTL/E-TTL II, manual flash, stroboscopic, and auto external flash metering.

The ST-E3-RT features an extensive minimum output range down to 1/8192, making it suitable for low-light photography, and includes Wireless Rear Curtain Synchronization for capturing light trails and motion effects. The FE Memory function allows you to lock in specific E-TTL exposure levels that persist across multiple shots of the same scene. A backlit LCD panel and high-performance hot shoe contacts provide reliable operation and easy visibility in dimly-lit shooting environments, while eight custom functions and three personal functions allow for flexible configuration.
