DT 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM - Sony A Fit

This Sony 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 DT Standard Zoom Lens is designed for Sony Alpha and Minolta DSLRs with APS-C sensors, delivering a 3.1x zoom range that is equivalent to 27-82.5mm in 35mm format. The lens features eight elements in seven groups, including two aspheric glass elements that correct distortion and provide sharp, clear images throughout the zoom range. It incorporates Sony's Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) technology for fast and silent automatic focusing, along with seven circular aperture blades that produce smooth bokeh effects in out-of-focus areas.

The lens has a variable maximum aperture of f/3.5 at 18mm widening to f/5.6 at 55mm, with a minimum focusing distance of 9.8 inches. The non-rotating 55mm filter thread allows the use of rotating polarizing filters. This lens is optimized for cropped APS-C sensors and is not recommended for use with full-frame cameras.
