The Leica Q3 is a premium full-frame compact camera featuring a 60-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor paired with a fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 aspherical lens and optical image stabilization. The camera incorporates a hybrid autofocus system combining phase-detection, contrast-detection, and depth-from-defocus technologies, along with intelligent subject recognition for tracking eyes, faces, bodies, and animals. The Q3 supports 8K video recording at up to 30 frames per second with 10-bit color depth, 4K at 60 frames per second, and ProRes recording, making it a capable multimedia tool alongside its stills capabilities.

The magnesium alloy body is weather-sealed to IP52 standards and includes a tilting 3-inch touchscreen LCD, a high-resolution 5.76-megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder, and enhanced connectivity features including USB-C 3.1, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0. The camera offers flexible resolution options through Triple Resolution Technology, allowing shooters to select between 60, 36, or 18-megapixel outputs while maintaining 14-bit color and 14-stop dynamic range, with continuous shooting capabilities up to 15 frames per second.
