The Leica SL2 is a full-frame mirrorless camera featuring a 47.3MP CMOS sensor paired with the Maestro III image processor, enabling high-resolution photography and professional video recording. The camera delivers continuous shooting speeds up to 20 fps with the electronic shutter, supports 5K video recording at 30 fps and DCI 4K at 60 fps with 10-bit color depth, and incorporates a Leica Object Detection AF system with 225 selectable autofocus areas for fast and accurate performance. A 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization system compensates for camera shake to produce sharper handheld imagery, while the refined body design includes a 5.76-megadot OLED viewfinder with 0.78x magnification, a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD, and weather-sealed magnesium-alloy construction for durability in demanding conditions.

The SL2 accommodates a wide range of workflows through dual UHS-II SD memory card slots, multiple video output formats including Hybrid Log Gamma and L-Log profiles for color grading flexibility, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless file transfer and remote control via the Leica FOTOS app. The camera's versatile L-Mount interface provides access to a broad selection of optics, while the included BP-SCL4 rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 370 shots per charge and supports in-camera charging via USB Type-C.
