SL3

The Leica SL3 is a full-frame mirrorless camera featuring a 60-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor paired with the Maestro IV image processor, delivering 15 stops of dynamic range and capturing up to 15 frames per second at maximum resolution. The camera incorporates a hybrid autofocus system combining phase detection, contrast detection, and object detection for reliable performance across diverse shooting scenarios, complemented by 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization offering up to 5 stops of shake reduction. Notable improvements include an 8GB buffer for faster processing, a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen display, dual media slots supporting CFexpress Type B and SD UHS-II cards, and an IP54-rated magnesium and aluminum body weighing just 1.7 pounds.

The SL3 supports extensive video capabilities including 8K DCI recording up to 29.97 fps in H.265 or H.264 formats, as well as ProRes 422 HQ recording at 1080p up to 60 fps. Additional features include mechanical shutter speeds up to 1/8000 of a second, ISO sensitivity ranging from 50 to 100,000, USB-C connectivity with high-speed charging and tethering support, full-size HDMI 2.1 output, and Wi-Fi 5 with Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless file transfer via the Leica FOTOS app. The camera accepts L-mount lenses, providing access to an extensive selection of compatible glass.
