X2

The Leica X2 is a compact digital camera featuring a 16.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor paired with a fixed Leica Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 ASPH lens, which provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of approximately 35mm. The APS-C sensor is unusually large for a compact camera and delivers low noise, high dynamic range, and accurate color reproduction at sensitivities up to ISO 12500. The camera measures just 2.7 x 4.9 inches and weighs only 11.2 ounces, making it highly portable while maintaining premium build quality with its full-metal chassis and leather trim.

The X2 offers both automatic and manual exposure control with a 2.7-inch LCD screen providing 230,000 pixels and a clear view in bright conditions. The precision autofocus system enables fast, silent focusing with multiple AF segments and face recognition options. The camera records images in both JPEG and DNG raw formats, and registered owners receive a free copy of Adobe Lightroom for processing and workflow management. Additional features include a retractable flash with multiple sync modes and optional external viewfinder compatibility via the accessory shoe.
