The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 is a versatile Sony E-mount zoom lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras and capable of providing a 42-112.5mm equivalent focal length when used on APS-C models. This second-generation lens features an updated optical design with 17 elements in 15 groups that delivers higher resolution and improved sharpness compared to its predecessor. The VXD linear motor focus mechanism provides fast, quiet, and precise autofocus performance suitable for both stills and video applications.

The constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range ensures consistent illumination and enables greater control over depth of field for selective focus techniques. With a minimum focusing distance of just 7.1 inches and a maximum magnification of 1:2.7, the lens performs capably with close-up subjects.
