This 49mm B+W XS-Pro Digital ND Vario filter is a variable neutral density filter that provides exposure reduction ranging from 1 to 5 stops through a rotating front ring, allowing you to easily adjust the degree of density for different lighting conditions. The filter's 0.3 to 1.5 optical density darkens the entire image, enabling you to use longer shutter speeds or wider apertures than normally required, which gives you greater control over depth of field and the ability to convey motion more effectively.
The filter features B+W's Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) with an additional Nano layer that reduces reflections and improves light transmission while providing enhanced protection to the glass substrate. The thin, oversized aluminum mount is designed to minimize vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses, and the Nano coating promotes superior water beading for efficient cleaning.
