The AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is a standard zoom lens designed for Nikon DX-format DSLRs, providing a 24-127.5mm equivalent focal length range suitable for everyday photography. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements that work together to minimize aberrations, deliver sharp imagery, and maintain excellent color accuracy across the zoom range. A Super Integrated Coating applied to the individual lens elements suppresses internal reflections and ghosting to improve contrast when shooting in bright or backlit conditions.
