The AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 G is a versatile zoom lens designed exclusively for Nikon DX-format digital cameras, offering a 27-105mm equivalent focal length in 35mm terms. The lens incorporates three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and one aspherical element to minimize chromatic aberration and distortion while delivering high resolution and superior contrast. It features Nikon's Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for fast and accurate autofocus with quiet operation, along with an Internal Focusing design that maintains excellent body balance.

The G-type design eliminates the aperture ring for streamlined operation and includes a 7-blade rounded diaphragm for natural-looking bokeh in out-of-focus areas.
