The Nikon AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED is a telephoto macro lens designed for Nikon F-mount FX-format cameras and compatible with DX-format bodies where it provides a 157.5mm equivalent focal length. The lens features a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture, 1:1 magnification ratio, and a 1-foot minimum focusing distance, making it exceptionally capable for macro and close-up photography. An advanced optical design includes one extra-low dispersion element, Nano Crystal and Super Integrated coatings to minimize chromatic aberration, flare, and ghosting for superior clarity and contrast in all lighting conditions.

The lens incorporates a Silent Wave Motor autofocus system with full-time manual focus override, internal focusing design for consistent length and fast focusing speeds, and Vibration Reduction image stabilization that compensates for camera shake by up to three shutter speed steps. The rounded nine-blade diaphragm delivers pleasing out-of-focus rendering for shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques. This lens is also compatible with optional AF-S teleconverters.
