D50

The Nikon D50 is a compact and lightweight digital SLR camera featuring a 6.1-megapixel DX-format CCD sensor capable of capturing images at resolutions up to 3008 x 2000 pixels. The camera offers seven Digital Vari-Program modes including Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Child, Close Up, Sports, and Night Portrait to optimize settings for different shooting scenarios. It includes a refined 5-area autofocus system with low-light detection, continuous shooting at 2.5 frames per second, shutter speeds from 30 to 1/4000 seconds, and a built-in flash with i-TTL metering.

The D50 features a 2.0-inch LCD display for image review and menu navigation, full compatibility with Nikon F-mount AF Nikkor lenses, and includes PictureProject software for image management and editing. The camera accepts Secure Digital memory cards, uses EN-EL3 or EN-EL3a rechargeable lithium-ion batteries rated for approximately 2,000 images per charge, and supports direct printing via PictBridge connectivity.
