D80

The Nikon D80 is a 10.2-megapixel digital SLR camera featuring a DX-format CCD sensor that captures images with 3872 x 2592-pixel resolution. The camera delivers fast performance with a 0.18-second startup time, 80-millisecond shutter lag, and continuous shooting at 3 frames per second, making it capable of capturing up to 100 JPEG or 6 RAW images in a burst. The D80 features an 11-area autofocus system with the Multi-CAM 1000 sensor module, 3D Color Matrix Metering II for accurate exposure control, and ISO sensitivity ranging from 100 to 1600 with additional boost settings up to ISO 3200.

The camera includes a bright 0.94x magnification pentaprism viewfinder and a 2.5-inch LCD monitor with 230,000-dot resolution and 170-degree viewing angle, both designed for clear composition and image review. Seven Digital Vari-Programs optimize settings for specific shooting scenarios, while in-camera editing functions such as D-Lighting, red-eye correction, and multiple exposure capability provide creative flexibility without requiring a computer. The D80 also features a built-in Speedlight with i-TTL flash control, support for Nikon's Creative Lighting System, and compatibility with the complete range of AF Nikkor and DX Nikkor lenses through its F-mount design.
