The NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S is a prime wide-angle lens designed for Nikon Z-mount FX-format mirrorless cameras. The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture provides excellent low-light performance and allows for precise depth-of-field control with selective focus techniques. The optical design incorporates two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements that minimize aberrations and distortion for sharp, detailed imagery with accurate color rendering.

A stepping motor enables smooth, quiet, and fast autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override, making it suitable for both stills and video applications. The programmable control ring can be customized to adjust manual focus, aperture, or exposure compensation based on user preference.
