SB-500 Speedlight

The Nikon SB-500 AF Speedlight is a compact flash unit designed for use with Nikon's i-TTL metering system and compatible with FX-format full-frame cameras. It delivers a guide number of 79 feet at ISO 100 with a recycle time as fast as 3.5 seconds, powered by two AA batteries and offering flash compensation adjustable from -3 to +1 EV through the camera. The flash head tilts upward 90 degrees and rotates 180 degrees horizontally with click-stops for precise bounce and swivel positioning.

In addition to flash capability, the SB-500 includes a built-in LED video light with three adjustable power output levels for both video work and macro photography. The unit functions wirelessly as either a commander or remote slave within Nikon's Creative Lighting System, supporting four wireless channels and two groups for multi-light setups. The flash supports multiple synchronization modes including slow sync, high-speed sync, first-curtain, and second-curtain synchronization, and includes a soft case and stand with the purchase.
