SB-900 AF Speedlight i-TTL Shoe Mount Flash

The Nikon SB-900 AF Speedlight is a professional-grade shoe mount flash unit with a Guide Number of 111.5 feet at 35mm, making it suitable for a wide range of lighting conditions. The flash features an automated zoom head covering 17-200mm lenses in FX format and can adjust to this range in just 1.2 seconds, with automatic detection of DX or FX format cameras. It offers three selectable light distribution patterns—Standard, Center-weighted, and Even—allowing photographers to optimize light quality for different subjects and compositions.

The SB-900 supports Nikon's i-TTL Balanced Fill-Flash system with Advanced Wireless Lighting capability, enabling control of up to three remote Speedlight groups when operating as a master unit or in Commander mode. The flash head tilts down to -7 degrees and up to 90 degrees, rotating 180 degrees horizontally for versatile bounce capabilities. Additional features include FV Lock for maintaining subject exposure while recomposing, Distance Priority Manual Mode for automatic power calculation, stroboscopic effects, built-in color gel filters with automatic white-balance identification, and overheat protection with a thermal sensor.
