The Nikon Z5 is a full-frame mirrorless camera featuring a 24.3MP FX-format CMOS sensor paired with an EXPEED 6 image processor, delivering a native ISO range of 100-51200 and continuous shooting at 4.5 fps. The camera is equipped with a 273-point hybrid autofocus system that includes Eye Detection AF and Face Detection for both humans and animals, along with a robust 5-axis sensor-shift vibration reduction system providing up to five stops of stabilization. The Z5 captures UHD 4K video at up to 30 fps and Full HD video at up to 60 fps, with in-camera time-lapse capability and a 30-minute maximum recording limit.

The camera body features a weather-sealed magnesium alloy chassis, a high-resolution 3.6-megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder, and a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen LCD with 1.04 million dots for flexible composition and playback. Connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 with SnapBridge app integration for wireless file transfer and remote camera control from mobile devices, while dual SD UHS-II card slots support high-speed recording and the included EN-EL15c battery provides approximately 470 shots per charge with in-camera USB charging capability.
