VideoMic GO II

The RODE VideoMic GO II is an ultracompact shotgun microphone engineered for video content creators, filmmakers, podcasters, and voiceover artists who need professional audio quality in a portable package. This microphone features a supercardioid polar pattern with annular line tube technology ported from RODE's VideoMic NTG, delivering transparent, naturally-balanced sound while isolating focus to the subject in front and attenuating side and rear noise. The VideoMic GO II operates as both an analog microphone connected to cameras via its included detachable 3.5mm TRS cable and as a USB digital microphone for computers, smartphones, and tablets, with full 24-bit/48 kHz uncompressed audio quality and headphone monitoring capabilities.

The microphone draws power from plug-in connections on cameras or via USB bus power, eliminating the need for batteries, and its simple design includes no controls or switches for straightforward operation. A rugged Rycote Lyre suspension-style shockmount with sliding rail adjustment and integrated cable management minimizes vibration transfer and simplifies setup, while the included foam windscreen reduces wind noise from environmental sources. The unit is MFi-certified for Apple iOS devices and compatible with RODE's mobile and desktop applications for extended control and features.
