The optical design incorporates two aspherical elements and one high refractive index element to suppress spherical aberrations and deliver sharpness and clarity across the entire aperture range from f/2.8 to f/22. An Ultra Multi-Coating applied to the lens elements reduces flare and ghosting for enhanced contrast in bright lighting conditions.
