The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a wide-angle prime lens designed for Canon EF-M-mount mirrorless cameras, offering a 25.6mm equivalent focal length on APS-C sensors. Its f/1.4 maximum aperture enables excellent low-light performance and provides substantial control over depth of field for selective focus work. The optical design incorporates two low-dispersion (SLD) elements, three fluorite low-dispersion (FLD) elements, and two aspherical elements to minimize chromatic aberration, distortion, and spherical aberrations while maintaining high sharpness across the aperture range.
