The Sony Alpha a7R is a full-frame mirrorless digital camera featuring a 36.4-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor without an optical low-pass filter, which maximizes detail and resolution. The sensor incorporates a gapless on-chip lens design that increases corner-to-corner light-collecting efficiency and works in conjunction with the BIONZ X image processor to deliver fast, intelligent autofocus and natural image quality with rich tonal gradation. The Alpha a7R provides a 2.4-megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder with 100% coverage and a 3-inch tiltable LCD display with WhiteMagic technology for enhanced visibility in bright light. The camera supports Full HD video recording at 24p, 60i, and 60p frame rates in both AVCHD and MP4 codecs, with uncompressed video output via HDMI.
