The Sony a9 II is a full-frame mirrorless camera featuring a 24.2MP Exmor RS back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor paired with an updated BIONZ X processor that delivers exceptionally fast and responsive performance for both stills and video. The camera achieves continuous shooting at up to 20 fps with an electronic shutter or 10 fps with a mechanical shutter, while an advanced 693-point hybrid autofocus system with sensitivity down to -3 EV ensures quick and accurate subject tracking across 93% of the frame. Built-in 5.5-stop effective 5-axis image stabilization compensates for camera shake across all shooting styles, and the camera records UHD 4K video at up to 30 fps in XAVC S format with full-frame 4K capability and Full HD slow-motion recording at 120 fps.

The a9 II features a refined magnesium alloy body with improved weather sealing, an ergonomic grip design, and extensive connectivity options including dual SD UHS-II card slots, USB 3.2 Type-C, integrated Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, and NFC support. The camera is equipped with a high-resolution Quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder at 3.69 million dots with a 120 fps high-quality refresh rate and a 3.0-inch tilting touchscreen LCD for flexible composition and control. Native ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 51,200 with extended capability to 204,800, and the camera supports uncompressed 14-bit raw file recording for maximum post-production flexibility.
