The Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD is a telephoto zoom lens designed for Nikon Z-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, offering a versatile range suitable for sports, wildlife, and portrait photography. The lens features a compact and lightweight design at just 5.8 inches in length and 1.2 pounds, making it practical for extended shooting sessions. The RXD stepping motor unit delivers fast, precise, and quiet autofocus performance while maintaining compatibility with Nikon's in-camera lens correction features.
The optical design consists of 15 elements in 10 groups, including a low-dispersion element that suppresses chromatic aberrations and other optical distortions common in telephoto zoom lenses. The lens includes a minimum focusing distance of 31.5 inches, a rounded seven-blade diaphragm for refined bokeh, and a moisture-resistant aluminum-magnesium alloy construction suitable for use in inclement weather conditions.
