An optical image stabilizer reduces camera shake by up to two stops, enabling reliable handheld shooting and operation in low-light scenarios, with both standard and panning-optimized stabilization modes available.
The lens features a ring-type ultrasonic motor for fast and quiet autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override, along with a rounded eight-blade diaphragm that produces pleasing out-of-focus rendering for selective focus work.
