The FUJIFILM XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR is a versatile standard zoom lens designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount cameras, offering a full-frame equivalent focal length range of 24-76mm. The lens features a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture at the wide end, enabling low-light photography and shallow-depth-of-field effects, with the aperture narrowing to f/4.8 at the 50mm telephoto end. The optical design incorporates 11 elements in 9 groups, including three extra-low dispersion and three aspherical elements that minimize chromatic aberration and other optical distortions for sharpness across the frame.
An internal focusing mechanism with a linear motor autofocus system delivers fast, quiet performance with reliable subject tracking, making the lens suitable for both still photography and video work. The lens body maintains a compact profile with an internal zoom mechanism, weighing only 240 grams, and includes weather resistance for durability in varied shooting conditions.
